Those faint oilslick colors on the lily really help bring the picture together and keep the background from being flat. I almost want to see some hint of color in the top corners, but I'm not sure yet.

Wow this one turned out great! I love the warm reflection inside the back rim of the cup. Beautiful work :)

This one's lovely... though the upper corners do seem empty. It makes me want to hold the cup and let the warmth suffuse my hands. It feels very comfortable and nice there. ^..^

I'm glad that the picture of the cup and fire turned out so well. I like the image a lot except for the droplets around the bottom of the image and in particular the one that is near the basin of the cup. I am afraid, though, that if you take the droplets out the image will appear to be too flat. The droplets add a good deal of depth to the image, and it needs that depth. I guess my complaint is that the droplets seem to be too disconnected from the rest of the image. I don't know if you can figure out a way to meld the droplets to the image a bit more without losing the depth or not. I may be asking too much though.
:iconchdwck:
By the way, I like how the top corners are "empty." I think that works very well for this image.
:iconstarglo21:
On second thought, maybe adding anything in the corners here would distract from the flame...Why not add the border and see how it stands as-is?
