Description
Ace of Wands. A hand emerges from waxy goop, the wand emerges from the hand. The wand is a creative extension of the body and the reader's interface with the world.
None of the other Karacol Aces have hands (all the Waite Aces do) but I felt this card needed one, perhaps because as an artist I interpret my creativity as a function of touch and physical creation. The hand is all of this, but I wanted to make sure it was obscured enough not to imply Five-ness.
Inspiration, new projects, creative activity and energy. Artistic senses. Overcoming artist's block. Reverse: Overwhelming energy, scattered projects, need to focus. Artist's block.

Fantastic sense of power, and when you actually look at elemental attributions for the hand it's perfect - our opposable thumb is earth, the index finger that points and discriminates is air, the middle finger raised in defiance is fire, the ring finger bearing the wedding band is water for emotion, and the little finger is spirit (the time you can do something with your little finger...) So it's appropriate the flaming wand is just raised before the middle finger...
