This card is a re-design of the original Page of Wands (now in scraps) that I felt didn't really capture the essence of the card.
The origins of this imagery come from relating the deep emotions and impulses of the Page to the depths of the ocean, and by extension, an exploration of extremes where water intermingles with other elements. Deep sea vents seemed like a perfect depiction of the convergence of Water and Fire (with Air and Earth to a smaller degree). I hoped that this unique image would underscore the meaning of tenacity and hope in the card, since the ecosystems of the deep sea vents thrive in the most unlikely, inhospitable places on earth.
Please share your thoughts, especially if improvements can be made.

I really like the spots of color in the vents, emphasizing the heat. The floating ammonite helps to draw the eye upwards and fill in some of that negative space.
